Miss Nepal 2013
Hidden Treasures Fanta Miss Nepal 2013, the 18th Miss Nepal beauty pageant, was held on March 20, 2013 at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kathmandu. Miss Nepal 2012 Shristi Shrestha crowned her successor Ishani Shrestha as Miss Nepal World 2013, she represented Nepal at Miss World 2013 pageant. Rojisha Shahi was chosen as Miss Nepal Earth 2013 and was sent to Miss Earth 2013 competition. Shritima Shah was chosen as Miss Nepal International 2013 and she represented Nepal for Miss International 2013 pageant. According to the press conference the winner of Miss Nepal 2013 was selected as the brand ambassador of the drink Fanta, World Wide Fund for Nature, WWF Nepal for a year, and received Rs 50,000. All three winners received a Samsung phone and an apartment at Suncity apartments by Shangrila. Miss International 2013
Miss International 2013, the 53rd Miss International pageant, was held on December 17, 2013 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Alejandra Andreu, Miss International 2008, crowned Bea Santiago of the Philippines at the end of the event. This was the second consecutive year Japan hosted the pageant. The incumbent titleholder Miss International 2012 Ikumi Yoshimatsu of Japan was barred from attending the event due to her involvement in a scandal where a media executive Genichi Taniguchi allegedly harassed and intimidated Ms. Yoshimatsu for not signing on to a talent agency with ties to the Japanese Yakuza or underworld. Miss Nepal
Miss Nepal ( ne, मिस नेपाल) is a national beauty pageant in Nepal. The winners are sent to Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International, Miss Supranational. History Ever since the pageant started from 1994, historically the winner of the Miss Nepal pageant represented the Nepal in the Miss Asia Pacific. After 1997, the Hidden Treasures collaborated with Kathmandu Jaycees and formed two pageants of Kathmandu Jacyees Miss Nepal and Hidden Treasures Miss World Nepal. From 1998 onwards, the winner of Miss Nepal has been sent to Miss World contest and the 1st runner up to Miss Asia Pacific. No contest was held in 2001 because of the Nepalese royal massacre. From 2004, the 2nd runner up has been granted to represent Nepal in the pageant Miss Earth but it changed a year later, to 1st runner up as it had been stopped sending to Miss Asia Pacific.
