Shripal Morakhia
Shripal Morakhia (Marathi: श्रीपाल मोराखिया) is an Indian businessman, film director and film producer. Morakhia is best known for his directorial debut Naina (2005). Presently, Morakhia is chairman of ''Smaaash'' a sports entertainment venture with his equity partner and former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Early life Morakhia was a stock broker and executive assistant to President of New York Stock Exchange. Thereafter, Morakhia also opened an investment bank outfit SSKI and online portal Sharekhan. Venture in sports entertainment Morakhia founded entertainment centre ''Smaaash'' in 2012 which holds the equity of 1.5 billion rupees after the investment by FW Sports Investment Fund (FSIF). Marathi Language
Marathi (; ''Marāṭhī'', ) is an Indo-Aryan language predominantly spoken by Marathi people in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the official language of Maharashtra, and additional official language in the state of Goa. It is one of the 22 scheduled languages of India, with 83 million speakers as of 2011. Marathi ranks 11th in the list of languages with most native speakers in the world. Marathi has the third largest number of native speakers in India, after Hindi and Bengali. Naina (2005 Film)
''Naina'' is a Hindi horror film released in India in 2005. It stars Urmila Matondkar. The film was premiered in the Marché du Film section of the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. The film is a remake of the 2002 Hong Kong-Singaporean horror film ''The Eye'' directed by the Pang brothers. Its release caused controversy in India because its depiction of the protagonist seeing ghosts after receiving a corneal transplant was similar to existing fears in India surrounding corneal transplants and it was feared the film would discourage people from donating corneas or seeking corneal transplants. Plot During a solar eclipse in 1986, young Naina Shah, while traveling in the backseat of her England-based dad's car, is struck by glass from the shattered windshield during an accident, and loses her eyesight. Sachin Tendulkar
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar (; ; born 24 April 1973) is an Indian former international cricketer who captained the Indian national team. He is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. He is the all time highest run-scorer in both ODI and Test Format with more than 18000 runs and 15000 runs respectively in total.
