Shridhar Krishna Sathe (October 30, 1950 – April 4, 2019) was an Indian-born American scientist who was a distinguished professor of food science at Florida State University. He is widely cited as an authority on the role of proteins in food allergy. Early life and education Sathe was born on October 30, 1950, in Pune, Maharashtra, India, to Krishna Sathe, a clerk, and Kumudini Sathe (Née: Varna Damle,) a homemaker. The oldest of three sons, Sathe split his time between his immediate family and a relative's house growing up. Arun Shridhar Vaidya
General Arunkumar Shridhar Vaidya (27 July 1926 – 10 August 1986) was a General Officer in the Indian Army. He served as the 13th Chief of the Army Staff from 1983 to 1986. Following his retirement, he was assassinated by Harjinder Singh Jinda and Sukhdev Singh Sukha in August 1986. This was done in vengeance of Operation Blue Star. Narayan Shridhar Bendre (21 August 1910 – 19 February 1992), was a 20th-century Indian artist and one of the founder members of Baroda Group Narayan Shridhar Bendre was born in Indore. He made a name for himself as a landscape artist. In 1992 he was awarded the Padma Bhushan. Life and career Narayan Shridhar Bendre was born in a Deshastha Rigvedi Brahmin family on 21 August 1910 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Shridhar Chillal (born 29 January 1937) is an Indian people, Indian man from the city of Pune, who held the world record for the longest nail (anatomy), fingernails ever reached on a single hand, with a combined length of 909.6 centimeters (358.1 inches). Chillal's longest single nail is his thumbnail, measuring 197.8 centimeters (77.87 inches). He stopped cutting his nails in 1952. Although proud of his record-breaking nails, Chillal has faced increasing difficulties due to the weight of his finger nails, including disfigurement of his fingers and loss of function in his left hand. Shri Shridhar Venkatesh Ketkar (2 February 1884 – 10 April 1937) was a Marathi sociologist, historian and novelist from Maharashtra, India. He is principally known as the chief editor of '' Maharashtriya Jnanakosha'', the first-ever encyclopedia in the Marathi language. Early life and background Ketkar was born into a Marathi Hindu family in Raipur, Madhya Pradesh, and was educated in Wilson College, Bombay. He left for the United States in 1906 and obtained his PHD from Cornell University in 1911.
