The 12451 / 12452 Shram Shakti Express is an Indian Railways ''Superfast'' train which daily runs non-stop overnight between the cities of Kanpur and . It covers the 440 km of distance in 6 hours and has a ''priority advantage'' over other trains. Shram Shakti Express along with Prayagraj Express and Shiv Ganga Express enjoys highest priority all over the route. Modern LHB coach with a MPS of 160 kmph are more comfortable. The Indian locomotive class WAP-7 is a class of 25 Volt, kV Alternating current, AC Electric locomotive, electric locomotives that was developed in 1999 by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) for Indian Railways. The model name stands for 5 ft 6 in gauge railway, broad gauge (W), AC Current (A), Passenger traffic (P) engine, 7th generation (7). They entered service in 2000. A total of 1424 WAP-7 have been built, with more units being built at CLW, Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) and Diesel-Loco Modernisation Works, Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW). Electric Loco Shed, Kanpur is a motive power depot performing locomotive maintenance and repair facility for electric locomotives of the Indian Railways, located at Kanpur of the North Central Railway zone in Uttar Pradesh, India. Operation Being one of the electric engine sheds in North Central Railway, various major and minor maintenance schedules of electric locomotives are carried out here. It has the sanctioned capacity of 150 engine units. Beyond the operating capacity, this shed houses a total of 243 engine units, including 15 WAP-4, 50+ WAP-7, 70+ WAG-7 and 90+ WAG-9. Like all locomotive sheds, CNB does regular maintenance, overhaul and repair including painting and washing of locomotives. The 12033 / 12034 Kanpur–New Delhi Shatabdi Express is the Shatabdi train connecting with . The load of passengers in Lucknow Swarna Shatabdi Express was heavy from . Due to the excessive passenger load on Lucknow Shatabdi from Kanpur Central and huge demand for a separate Shatabdi train from Kanpur Central, the Railway Ministry declared the new Shatabdi train from Central Station in 2009 Railway Budget. This train was flagged off by Union Railways minister Mamata Banerjee on 7 Feb 2010. It runs on all days of a week except Sunday. In its initial days, it used to run non-stop between Kanpur and New Delhi. Later, and were added as intermediate stops and from 9 July 2016 was also added.
