''Showtime, Storytime'' is a video release, released as a double Blu-ray, DVD, CD and LP from Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Nuclear Blast recorded their live performance at Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany on 3 August 2013. ''Showtime, Storytime'' is the first Nightwish production to feature Floor Jansen on vocals. She initially replaced previous vocalist Anette Olzon during their North America tour leg, and on 9 October 2013 it was revealed that she would become an official band member, along with Troy Donockley. The running time of the concert is 1 hour and 38 minutes. The album also contains a 120-minute documentary about the first days of Jansen in the band, still as an only live member, and her process of adaptation in the band, called "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours". Nightwish
Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen, and then bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, ''Angels Fall First'' (1997). In 2001, Vänskä was replaced by Marko Hietala, who also took over the male vocalist role previously filled by Holopainen or guest singers. Although Nightwish have been prominent in their home country since ''Angels Fall First'', they did not achieve wider success until the release of the albums '' Oceanborn'' (1998), '' Wishmaster'' (2000) and ''Century Child'' (2002). "Wish I Had An Angel" is the ninth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, the second from their fifth album ''Once''. The song features vocals by then-vocalist Tarja Turunen and bassist Marko Hietala. The song was still performed live after Turunen's departure with Anette Olzon, before her departure, and current vocalist Floor Jansen afterwards. Featured on the soundtrack of the film '' Alone in the Dark'', it became the group's most popular single in Europe and in the United States, next to "Nemo". It made it onto two U.S. film soundtracks. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Jukka Nevalainen
Jukka Antero "Julius" Nevalainen (born 21 April 1978, in Kitee, Finland) is the former drummer in the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Personal life He spent his early years in the city of Kitee. His music teacher at school told him that a new educational program for music was opening, and he thought Nevalainen would fit in well as a drummer. He lacked a suitable place to practice so he made do at his home. His first band was "The Highway" but he joined his first real band at the age of 15–16. The band had a rehearsal place, but was restricted to practice only a couple of days a week. After he left that band, he joined up with Emppu Vuorinen and they got a permanent practice place. Philip Malcolm "Pip" Williams (born 7 October 1947) is a record producer, arranger and guitarist, best known for producing albums for Status Quo and The Moody Blues and acting as well as supervising the orchestra parts and orchestra arrangements for the Finnish metal band Nightwish. "Last Ride of the Day" is the eleventh track from Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish's seventh studio album ''Imaginaerum''. This track was chosen as the official anthem for the Ice Hockey World Championships 2012 in Finland/Sweden. DJ Orkidea produced a remix of the song as the new entrance music of the Kiteen Pallo sports team. Nightwish had previously created an early version of a song titled "Kiteen Pallo" () for the team in the past. "Amaranth" is the thirteenth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. It was released as the first official single from their sixth studio album, ''Dark Passion Play'', and was the second single overall to feature former frontwoman Anette Olzon, following the promotional single "Eva". The official release date was 22 August 2007 but it was leaked onto the Internet earlier, though the exact date it leaked is unknown. The title song includes all of the band members, but the single contains a bonus track called "While Your Lips Are Still Red", on which Olzon and the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen do not play. This song is used in the Finnish film ''The Matriarch'', released in September 2007. The official video for "Amaranth" was released on 15 June and has had over 100 million views. Marko Tapani "Marco" Hietala (born 14 January 1966) is a Finnish heavy metal vocalist, bassist and songwriter. Internationally, he is best known as the former bassist, male vocalist and secondary composer to Tuomas Holopainen, of the symphonic metal band Nightwish. He was also the vocalist and bassist as well as composer and lyricist for the heavy metal band Tarot. He is also a member of the supergroup Northern Kings, and portrayed one of the main characters in Ayreon's 2013 album '' The Theory of Everything''. "Bless the Child" is the seventh single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, released as the second single from their album '' Century Child''. It is one of two songs which were filmed from the ''Century Child'' album, with other one being "End of All Hope". It was also the first song bassist/vocalist Marko Hietala worked on after he joined the band replacing Sami Vänskä. There are two versions of the single, each having a slightly different track list. The normal release includes the title track and the two songs, "Lagoon" and "The Wayfarer", which have not been released in Germany before. There is too a limited DVD plus of the single which includes three DVD videotracks in addition to the audio content. "Erämaan Viimeinen" (English: ''Last of the Wilds'') is a single by Finns, Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, released on December 5, 2007. It is the same song as the instrumental "Last of the Wilds" from the band's album ''Dark Passion Play'', but with Finnish language, Finnish lyrics and Jonsu from Indica (Finnish band), Indica on vocals, and became the second single from the album after "Amaranth (song), Amaranth". The single was not, like the earlier single "Kuolema tekee taiteilijan, Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan", released outside Finland, where it peaked at number one in the charts.
