Showtek
Showtek is a Dutch electronic dance music duo consisting of two brothers from Eindhoven, Sjoerd (born 6 April 1984) and Wouter Janssen (born 20 August 1982). The duo regularly manages to reach the top of multiple music charts and work with artists such as Tiësto, Chris Brown and David Guetta. Showtek was ranked 17th in the Top 100 DJs list of 2014 but by the magazine's 2016 list, they had dropped to 96th. The brothers, who have been musically active since 2001, also offer podcasts on their own radio show on the music streaming service iTunes. Biography The brothers Wouter Janssen () and Sjoerd Janssen () began their musical career in electronic music, specifically in techno music in 2001 and subsequently moved to hardstyle in 2003. "Booyah" is a song by the Dutch record producer duo Showtek featuring co-production by Dutch record producers We are Loud and vocals by Dutch singer Sonny Wilson. It was released on 19 August 2013, through Spinnin' Records, and re-released on 18 October 2013 in collaboration with Polydor Records. The new version was adapted for radio and includes a drum and bass section. It entered the UK Singles Chart at number 5, making it the first Showtek release to chart in the UK, on 27 October 2013. Major Lazer is an American electronic dance music DJ trio, which includes record producer Diplo, and DJs Walshy Fire and Ape Drums. Big room house or simply big room is a fusion subgenre of house music (notably progressive house and electro house) that gained popularity in the early 2010s.
