Shoreline Metro (formerly Sheboygan Transit) is the bus system owned and operated by the city of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Shoreline Metro services three communities with fixed route public transit system including the City of Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, Sheboygan Falls and Kohler, Wisconsin, Kohler. It operates ten fixed routes Monday through Saturday and tripper service during the school year with an additional three morning routes and four afternoon routes for school-aged children. The system is publicly operated by the City of Sheboygan under the authority of the Sheboygan Transit Commission and managed by the Director of Transit & Parking. Sheboygan () is a city in and the county seat of Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 49,929 at the 2020 census. Mead Public Library is a municipal library in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and serves Sheboygan County. It is the main headquarters library of the Monarch Library System, consisting of libraries in Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Dodge, and Washington Counties. History James H. Mead, from Montpelier, Vermont, came to Sheboygan in 1856. With his father-in-law, he founded and obtained a charter for the German Bank (later known as Security First National bank, then acquired by First Wisconsin Bank in 1985, eventually becoming a part of US Bank after Firstar's purchase of that bank in 2001). Above & Beyond Children's Museum
The Above & Beyond Children's Museum is a children's museum in downtown Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The museum has 3 floors of hands-on exhibits in over 10,000 feet of floor space. The museum is a member of the Association of Children's Museums. History The museum opened in 1998 and the window painting by volunteers was honored as a ''Make A Difference Day'' winner by USA Weekend. The museum has been struggling to stay current on its mortgage.
