Shorbodolio Kendrio Rashtrobhasha Kormi Porishod
The Shorbodolio Kendrio Rashtrobhasha Kormi Porishod (All-Parties Central Language Action Committee) was the leading political organisation in the Bengali Language Movement of East Bengal. The organisation was formed in an all-party meeting chaired by Maulana Bhasani of the Awami Muslim League, on January 31, 1952, at the Bar Library Hall of Dhaka University. Attendees included representatives of the Youth League, East Pakistan Muslim Students League, Dhaka University State Language Action Committee, East Pakistan Awami Muslim League, Tamaddun Majlish, All East Pakistan Students League, Islamic Brotherhood, and East Pakistan Mohajir Society. The meeting formed the 40-member ''Shorbodolio Kendrio Rashtrabhasha Koarmiporishod'' to direct the movement for Bengali as a state language. Maulana Bhasani
Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani (12 December 1880 – 17 November 1976), often shortened as Maulana Bhashani, was a Bengali politician. His political tenure spanned the British colonial India, Pakistan and Bangladesh periods. Maulana Bhashani was popularly known by the honorary title Mozlum Jananeta (Leader of the Oppressed) for his lifelong stance advocating for the poor. He gained nationwide mass popularity among the peasants and helped to build the East Pakistan Peasant Association. Owing to his political leaning to the left, often dubbed Islamic Socialism, he was also called 'The Red Maulana'. Awami League ( ur, ; bn, আওয়ামী লীগ) was a Pakistani political party founded by Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy in February 1950. The Tamaddun Majlish ( bn, তমদ্দুন মজলিশ), formerly Pakistan Tamaddun Majlish, is an Islamic cultural organization in Bangladesh, established in 1947 by Principal Abul Kashem in the former East Pakistan. It was one of the founding organizations of the Bengali Language Movement. Kazi Golam Mahbub
Kazi Golam Mahbub (23 December 1927 – 19 March 2006) was a Bangladeshi activist and politician. He participated in the Language Movement that took place in the erstwhile East Pakistan. Early life and education Mahbub was born in Kasba village in Backergunge District (now Barisal district). His father, Kazi Abdul Majed, was an activist of 1921 movement which was carried out in Barisal for achieving a more equitable arrangement for farmers. Mahbub matriculated from Barisal Torki High School in 1942 and then went to Calcutta Islamia College. He migrated to Dhaka in 1947.
