Shoppers World Brampton
Shoppers World Brampton is a shopping mall in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It is host to over 190 stores, including Canadian Tire, Winners and Staples. History In 1961, Elder Mines & Development Ltd. and Peel Village Developments created Shoppers World Danforth. Targeted completion date was March 1962. The two developers merged into a new company, Peel-Elder Limited, and began development of Shopper's World Brampton on a farmer's field that had been purchased by Charles F. Watson of Peel-Elder Ltd. Peel-Elder Ltd. was also the developer of the Brampton's Peel Village community. In 1961, planned tenants were Loblaws, Zellers, Yolles, Bata Shoe, a Maher shoe store, Lady Ellis dress shop, Bi-Rite Drugs, Tip Top Tailors and banks. In all, it planned 55 stores, plus a department store, bowling alleys and a movie theatre. A 1963 advertorial for Peel Village describes the mall with 57 shops. Shoppers World Terminal
Shoppers World Terminal was a Brampton Transit bus station that served the south-central and western areas of Brampton, Ontario, including the neighbourhood of Peel Village. It was located on Steeles Avenue, west of Hurontario Street, in the parking lot of Shoppers World Brampton shopping centre. The building included a service counter, snack vending machines, and a heated waiting area. Washrooms at the station were only for Brampton Transit employees. The terminal was replaced by the new Brampton Gateway Terminal, located on the northwest corner of Steeles Avenue and Main Street, on 26 November 2012.Gateway Terminal Brochure

Shoppers World Danforth is a hybrid shopping plaza and shopping mall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It has 40 stores serving parts of East York, Scarborough and The Beaches, near the Victoria Park subway station. Today a moderately sized suburban plaza, it has a notable place in history as one of the first suburban and one of the first enclosed malls in Canada. It is approximately in area. History Site use as a car plant In 1921, the site was still a largely rural area on the fringe of the city of Toronto when the Danforth streetcar was extended to a new loop at Luttrell Avenue, just west of Victoria Park Avenue. Shopper's World is a retail park in Framingham, Massachusetts. The original facility (spelled Shoppers' World) is of historical significance as one of the first suburban shopping malls in the United States upon opening in 1951; it was demolished and replaced by the current open-air facility in 1994.
