Shooting Bigfoot
''Shooting Bigfoot: America's Monster Hunters'' is a 2013 British documentary directed by Morgan Matthews. It follows Matthews as he travels to America to spend time with four amateur Bigfoot hunters. Premise Morgan Matthews explains that since he was a child he had an interest in Bigfoot. He travels to America and meets with Bigfoot hunters Dallas Gilbert and Wayne Burton in Ohio, Rick Dyre in Texas, and Tom Biscardi in California. During the film Matthews goes on Bigfoot hunts with each hunter and discusses the history of hoaxing in the world of Bigfoot hunting. Morgan Matthews (filmmaker)
Morgan Matthews is an English, BAFTA award-winning documentary director. He is the founder of Minnow Films. Matthews' early work includes the BAFTA, RTS and Grierson nominated '' Taxidermy: Stuff the World'', the RTS nominated Channel 4 series '' My Crazy Parents'' and the feature-length '' Beautiful Young Minds'' which was also BAFTA, RTS and Grierson nominated. In 2006 he founded Minnow Films, starting his work with the company with the Grierson nominated film '' Battleship Antarctica'' for Channel 4. He then went on to make '' The Fallen'', a three-hour film for BBC2 remembering every British serviceman and woman killed in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. Tom Biscardi
Carmine Thomas Biscardi (born 1948) is a cryptozoology enthusiast, Las Vegas promoter, internet radio host, and film producer. He describes himself as the "Real Bigfoot Hunter". Biscardi has been centrally involved in several hoaxes regarding Bigfoot that have garnered widespread international media attention. Biography On his website, Biscardi writes, "I was watching John Carson in 1967 ic and I saw the first 8mm footage that Roger Patterson took of the Bluff Creek incident. Rick Dyer is an American Bigfoot enthusiast known for perpetrating hoaxes surrounding the subject. ''Texas Monthly'' has called Dyer "the world's most infamous Bigfoot hunter." Background Dyer is a full time Bigfoot hunter who is a self-styled "master tracker" of Bigfoot. Dyer and his hoaxes have appeared in ''Time'', Discovery News, Fox News Channel, ''The Huffington Post'' and CNN. 2008 hoax On August 12, 2008, Matthew Whitton and Dyer released a press release and went on Steve Kulls' radio show ''Squatch Detective'' to announce they had a dead Bigfoot body in their possession.
