English Match
50 meter rifle prone (formerly known as one of four free rifle disciplines) is an International Shooting Sport Federation event consisting of 60 shots from the prone position with a .22 Long Rifle (5.6 mm) caliber rifle. The time limit is 75 minutes for the entire match, including sighting shots, or 90 minutes if there is a need to compensate for slow scoring systems. Doron Shaziri
Doron Shaziri ( he, דורון שזירי; born 21 February 1967) is an Israeli Paralympic shooter. Early life In 1987, Shaziri was working as an Israel Defense Forces recruit while patrolling Israeli-Lebanon border where he tried to rescue his comrades but was hit by a mine. After the incident, he went to a military hospital where he was given a prosthetic leg. In 1994, he realized that he is a good engineer and even set up his own business where he was busy constructing wheelchairs for injured vets. Career In 2012, he was selected to be a flag bearer at the 2012 Paralympics opening ceremony; he also won a silver medal at these games. Kazimierz (; la, Casimiria; yi, קוזמיר, Kuzimyr) is a historical district of Kraków and Kraków Old Town, Poland. From its inception in the 14th century to the early 19th century, Kazimierz was an independent city, a royal city of the Crown of the Polish Kingdom, located south of the Old Town of Kraków, separated from it by a branch of the Vistula river. For many centuries, Kazimierz was a place where ethnic Polish and Jewish cultures coexisted and intermingled. The northeastern part of the district was historically Jewish. Franc Pinter
Franc Pinter (24 December 1953 – December 2023) was a Slovenian sport shooter from Slovenska Bistrica who has won several medals at the Paralympic Games. Pinter sustained a spinal cord injury in a car accident in 1977. Following the accident, he practiced several sports, including wheelchair basketball, Para athletics, Para swimming, and Para table tennis, where he competed at the elite level. Finally, he decided to focus on sport shooting. Making his Paralympic debut at the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona, Pinter has represented Slovenia at every Paralympics since, with the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo being his eighth appearance. As a paraplegic, Pinter competed in the SH1 category.
