Shongram (soundtrack)
''Shongram'' ( bn, সংগ্রাম) is the soundtrack album to the 2014 film of the same name, written and directed by Munsur Ali. The album is the first soundtrack and third studio album by Boston-based Bangladeshi singer-songwriter and composer Armeen Musa. Background Director of the film Munsur Ali wrote a scene based on the song "Ey Shondhay", which Armeen Musa co-wrote with Saif Q in 2007 and featured on her 2008 debut album ''Aye Ghum Bhangai''. Ali contacted Musa via Twitter for permission to use the song for the film in September 2011. Coincidentally, Musa was intending to visit London the following month, and after meeting in person, Ali offered her the job of soundtrack composer in December 2011. Subsequently, a pre-launch event was held at Rich Mix in London on 18 December 2011. Armeen Musa
Armeen Musa () is a Bangladeshi music director, composer, singer-songwriter, and actor. She is the first Bangladeshi composer to be part of a Grammy Nominated album, ''Shuruat'' by Berklee Indian Ensemble. Career During her teenage years, Armeen was deeply inspired by musicians like Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, Sahana Bajpaie, and Anusheh Anadil. Armeen started her first band at the age of 14 and released her debut album ''Aye Ghum Bhangai'' in 2008. She gained wider recognition with her hit single ''Bhromor Koiyo Giya'', a modern rendition of Radharaman Dutta's classic song. Armeen received training from her Guru Sujit Mustafa and graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2014. Acoustic Guitar
An acoustic guitar is a musical instrument in the string family. When a string is plucked its vibration is transmitted from the bridge, resonating throughout the top of the guitar. It is also transmitted to the side and back of the instrument, resonating through the air in the body, and producing sound from the sound hole. The original, general term for this stringed instrument is ''guitar'', and the retronym 'acoustic guitar' distinguishes it from an electric guitar, which relies on electronic amplification. Kazi Nazrul Islam ( bn, কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম, ; 24 May 1899 – 29 August 1976) was a Bengali poet, Bengali literature, writer, Bangladeshi music, musician, and is the national poet of Bangladesh. Nazrul is regarded as one of the greatest poets in Bengali literature. Popularly known as Nazrul, he produced a Complete Works of Kazi Nazrul Islam, large body of poetry, music, messages, novels, stories, etc. with themes that included equality, justice, anti-imperialism, humanity, rebellion against oppression and religious devotion. A cajón (; "box", "crate" or "drawer") is a box-shaped percussion instrument originally from Peru, played by slapping the front or rear faces (generally thin plywood) with the hands, fingers, or sometimes implements such as brushes, mallets, or sticks.
