Shmuel Fershko
Shmuel Fershko (Stanisław Ferszko, Samuel Fersko, also Fereszko; 1914–1990) was a Polish composer and musician. Born in Łuck, he was a child prodigy on the piano in Warsaw and then went to Warsaw Conservatory. At the age of 23 he composed the operetta ''Polowanie na lamparta (The Leopard Hunt)'' first performed in Warsaw in the theatre ''8.30'', later in Vienna under the name ''Salzburg Ausverkauft''. He worked at the ''Heyman-Front Jazz'' dance band (orchestra led by Zygmunt Heyman and Julian Front) and as a piano soloist in the ''Paradis, Krzywa latarnia (Crooked Lantern)'' and ''F.F.'' nightclubs.Isaschar Fatar, Jewish Music in Poland Between the Two World Wars He composed for and accompanied the stage diseuses of the late 1930s: Wiera Gran, Nadieżda Bielicz and Waria Łaska. Julian Front (composer)
Julian Front (''Fronte Giuliano'', FG) was a regionalist political party active in the Province of Trieste, Italy. Formed in the mid 1990s, the party strived for the independence of Trieste from Italy (through the return to the Free Territory of Trieste), in line with a tradition started with the Independence Front for the Free Julian State after World War II and continued with the List for Trieste in the late 1970s. Prior to that FG supports the separation from Friuli and the creation of the region of Trieste. FG took part to the 1998 Friuli-Venezia Giulia regional election, gaining 1.0% of the vote (5.4% in the Province of Trieste). In 1999 the party was a founding member of the Autonomists for Europe, which soon folded. George Gershwin
George Gershwin (; born Jacob Gershwine; September 26, 1898 – July 11, 1937) was an American composer and pianist whose compositions spanned popular, jazz and classical genres. Among his best-known works are the orchestral compositions ''Rhapsody in Blue'' (1924) and ''An American in Paris'' (1928), the songs " Swanee" (1919) and "Fascinating Rhythm" (1924), the jazz standards "Embraceable You" (1928) and "I Got Rhythm" (1930), and the opera ''Porgy and Bess'' (1935), which included the hit " Summertime". Gershwin studied piano under Charles Hambitzer and composition with Rubin Goldmark, Henry Cowell, and Joseph Brody. Emanuel Schlechter (pseudonyms Eman, Olgierd Lech) (Emanuel Szlechter) (9 October 1904 – 1943) was born and died in Lwów. He was a Polish-Jewish artist, lyricist, screenwriter, librettist, writer, satirist, translator, composer and director. His father was a house painter in Lwów. The family name of his mother was Begeleiter. Emanuel's brother was Emil Henryk Szlechter (1906-1995),A.
