Shlomo Yosef Englard
Grand Rabbi Shlomo Yosef Englard is the current Radziner Rebbe. He is considered an authority on Tekhelet and Rabbinic genealogy Biography Englard was born in Brooklyn New York. At the time of his birth, his father Rabbi Avrohom Yissochor Englard led a congregation in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. He had previously been the Rabbi of Sosnowiec, Poland and would later become Radziner Rebbe. Radziner Rebbe Following the death of his father on died on 20 Tishrei 5766 (2005), Englard became Radziner Rebbe. Englard writes a weekly publication on the parsha titled ''Tiferes Radzyn''. Authority on Tekhelet Englard is considered an authority on Tekhelet. Izhbitza – Radzin (Hasidic Dynasty)
Izhbitza-Radzin is the name of a List of Hasidic dynasties, dynasty of Hasidic Judaism, Hasidic rebbes. The first rebbe of this dynasty was Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Leiner, author of ''Mei Hashiloach'', in the city of Izhbitza. (Izhbitza is the Yiddish language, Yiddish name of Izbica, located in present-day Poland.) Mordechai Yosef founded his own Hasidic movement in the year 5600 (1839), leaving the court of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Kotzk. His son and successor, Rabbi Yaakov Leiner of Izhbitza, moved to Radzyń Podlaski, Radzin. The dynasty today is therefore known more as the "Radziner Dynasty". The third Rebbe#Hasidic Rebbe, Rebbe, Rabbi Gershon Henoch Leiner of Radzin, re-instituted the use of a version of Tekhelet, techeiles of the Tzitzit, tzitzis. Agudath Israel of America ( he, אגודת ישראל באמריקה) (also called Agudah) is an American organization that represents Haredi Orthodox Jews. It is loosely affiliated with the international World Agudath Israel. Rabbi Nosson Nochum Englard of ''Radzin-Yerushalayim'' is a scion of Radomsk and the rabbi of the Radziner hassidim in Jerusalem. Biography Englard was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Rabbi Yeshayahu Englard, who was one of the rabbonim of the Radomsker Shul in Brooklyn and the eldest son of Grand Rabbi Avrohom Yissochor Englard of Radzin. His mother is a daughter of Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Tewel, a ''Rav'' and ''Rosh Yeshiva'' in Poland and in the US. Englard studied at Yeshivas Novominsk under the leadership of Grand Rabbi Yaakov Perlow of Novominsk. He remained a very close disciple of Rabbi Perlow until the latter's death in 2020. Grand Rabbi Shmuel Shlomo Leiner (1909–1942) was the Radziner Rebbe (the fifth Rebbe of the Izhbitza – Radzin Hasidic dynasty). Early Years Rabbi Shmuel Shlomo Leiner was born in 1909. He was the son of Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Elazar Leiner, who was the Radziner Rebbe and author of ''Tiferes Yosef''. In 1928 he married Shifra Mirel Kalish, the daughter of Grand Rabbi Yosef Kalish of Amshinov who was also the Rabbi of Ostrów Mazowiecka. After his marriage, he lived near his father-in-law. Grand Rabbi Gershon Chanoch Henech Leiner of Radzyn (1839 – December 15, 1890) was a rebbe of the Izhbitza – Radzin dynasty, and the first to be known as "the Radzyner Rebbe". Biography He was born in Izbica, Poland in 1839, where he studied until his grandfather's death in 1854. His father was R. Jacob, the second rebbe of the Izbica-Radzyn dynasty. He was a prolific writer of a large number of commentaries, including ''Sidrei Taharot'', a Gemara-style work on the Talmudic tractates Kelim and Oholot. Leiner died 4 Teves 5651 (December 15, 1890) and was buried in Radzyn.
