Shipwreck
A shipwreck is the wreckage of a ship that is located either beached on land or sunken to the bottom of a body of water. Shipwrecking may be intentional or unintentional. Angela Croome reported in January 1999 that there were approximately three million shipwrecks worldwide (an estimate rapidly endorsed by UNESCO and other organizations). When a ship's crew has died or abandoned the ship, and the ship has remained adrift but unsunk, they are instead referred to as ghost ships. ''Shipwrecked'' is a British reality television programme that aired on Channel 4's now defunct youth programming brand, T4 between 2000 and 2012. The original version ran for three series from 12 January 2000 to 19 December 2001 and was constructed as a social experiment, without a competitive format or prize. The programme returned for four series from 8 January 2006 to 10 May 2009 in a new format, as ''Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands''. It featured two teams competing with each other for new members, with the larger team winning a cash prize at the end. ''Shipwrecked'' ( no, Haakon Haakonsen) is a 1990 family action-adventure film directed by Nils Gaup and starring Stian Smestad and Gabriel Byrne. ''Shipwrecked'' is the second and final album by the San Diego, California rock and roll band Sultans, released in 2004 by Swami Records. When the band reconvened to record the album in November 2003, original guitarist Andy Stamets chose not to rejoin the group. Singer/bassist John Reis took over the guitar position and his brother Dean Reis joined the band on bass, taking the stage name "Black Velvet." And on drums Tony Brown Diprima. Gonzalez (band)
Gonzalez were a British R&B and funk band. They became well known as a backing band for touring R&B, funk, and soul stars. Their eponymous album was released in 1974 and they recorded a total of six albums before disbanding in 1986. They are best known for their 1979 single success with their worldwide disco hit "Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet." The Gothic Archies are an American indie rock/gothic rock band established by Stephin Merritt of The Magnetic Fields. In 1997, Merritt released ''The New Despair''. The EP featured the song "Your Long White Fingers", which appeared frequently in the Nickelodeon series ''The Adventures of Pete & Pete''. The band later became more prominent when Merritt wrote, performed and recorded songs for the audiobook versions of Lemony Snicket's ''A Series of Unfortunate Events''.
