Ann Shipley
Marie Ann Shipley (April 8, 1899 – March 22, 1981) was a Canadians, Canadian politician. Born in Lawrence Station in Southwold, Ontario, she moved to Ottawa when she was 12, attended country school, Osgood Public School. She was then educated at Ottawa's Lisgar Collegiate and married Dr. Manley Adair Shipley. Shipley and her husband, Dr. Manley Shipley, settled in Kirkland Lake in 1928 where she was an administrative secretary for the Kirkland District Mines Medical Plans. For two years, she was an administrator of the public school board. As a result of contradictory sources, the year of Dr.Shipley's death is not definitive but occurred between 1940 and 1942. From 1943 to 1952, she was reeve of Teck Township. Shipley was president of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, in 1951. Mike Shipley
Michael Shipley (6 October 1956 – 25 July 2013) was an Australian mixing engineer, audio engineer, and record producer. Shipley's music career spanned more than 30 years – mostly working in Los Angeles. At the Grammy Awards of 2012 he won the Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical category for his joint work on ''Paper Airplane'' (April 2011), by Alison Krauss and Union Station. Will Shipley (born August 29, 2002) is an American college football running back for the Clemson Tigers. Early life and high school Shipley grew up in Weddington, North Carolina and attended Weddington High School. Shipley was rated the second-best running back in his class by ''ESPN'' and committed to play college football at Clemson during his junior year. Shipley did not play his senior season because it was moved to spring of 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He finished his high school career 4,173 rushing yards on 503 carries, 1,411 receiving yards on 84 catches, and scored 80 total touchdowns. William "Wil" Jon Shipley (born October 16, 1969) is a Macintosh software developer, best known for co-founding and heading The Omni Group in 1991, where he did consulting work and developed software for the NeXTSTEP operating system, Rhapsody and later Mac OS X. His firm was one of a relative few to develop for Rhapsody, with the company's OmniWeb becoming the most popular browser for the platform. While at Omni he won a record five Apple Design Awards for his company's products. He went on to found a second notable software firm, Delicious Monster, with Mike Matas in 2004. Delicious Library, the company's flagship product, won three more Apple Design Awards. Walter V of Brienne (french: Gautier; – 15 March 1311) was Duke of Athens from 1308 until his death. Being the only son of Hugh of Brienne and Isabella de la Roche, Walter was the heir to large estates in France, the Kingdom of Naples, and the Peloponnese. He was held in custody in the Sicilian castle of Augusta between 1287 and 1296 or 1297 to secure the payment of his father's ransom to the Aragonese admiral Roger of Lauria. When his father died fighting against Lauria in 1296, Walter inherited the County of Brienne in France, and the counties of Lecce and Conversano in southern Italy. He was released, but he was captured during a Neapolitan invasion of Sicily in 1299. His second captivity lasted until the Treaty of Caltabellotta in 1302. Tony Shipley (born August 23, 1953) is a former State Representative for the Tennessee House of Representatives 2nd District in Sullivan County. Reece Dodson Shipley (April 19, 1921 – May 8, 1998) was an American country singer and guitarist, noted for his 1952 singles "Hillbilly Jive with a Boogie Beat" and "Milk Bucket Boogie". Biography Born in Whitesburg, Tennessee, Shipley was the son of string musicians. During the late 1930s, he was a guitarist of the Carolina Pals in Kingsport, Tennessee. After the beginning of World War II, he joined the Seabees of the U.S. Navy. While serving in the Navy, he regularly entertained the troops on wartime radio. He was later transferred to California, where he met Gene Autry who would influence his own music. Following the end of the war, Shipley returned to Tennessee and worked at the radio stations WOPI and WKPT of Bristol and Kingsport, respectively.
