Shinkafi
Shinkafi is a Local Government Area in Zamfara State of Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Shinkafi an area of about 674mk2 and population of 135,649 (2006 Census). It shares boundaries with Isa Local Government Area (Sokoto State) and Niger Republic from the north, Zurmi Local Government Area to the South and South-East, Maradun Local Government Area and Raba Local Government Area (Sokoto State) by the west. Distance from the State Capital, Gusau is approximately 116 km. History In the early days of 1802 before the Jihad of Usman Danfodio, an Islamic scholar named Mallan Muhammadu Zabo, one of the ancestors of the Borno Empire migrated along the east of the area. Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi
Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, is a Nigerian politician and the current honorary special adviser on inter-governmental affairs to the governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle. He previously served as the national secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance. Early life and education Shinkafi was born in Shinkafi, Shinkafi, Shinkafi LGA, Zamfara State. From 1976 to 1982, he went to Shinkafi Township Primary School, Zamfara State, before preceding to Government Secondary School, Gwadabawa, Sokoto State where he studied from 1982 to 1988. He went to Sokoto State Polytechnic and later preceded to School of Management Studies, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State in 1991 and received a national diploma in business administration. Zamfara State
Zamfara (Hausa: Jihar Zamfara Fula: Leydi Zamfara 𞤤𞤫𞤴𞤣𞤭 𞤶𞤢𞤥𞤬𞤢𞤪𞤢) is a state in northwestern Nigeria. The capital of Zamfara state is Gusau and its current Governor is Bello Matawalle. Bello Turji
Bello Turji Kachalla popularly known as Turji, (born 1994) is a notorious Nigerian terrorist and bandit leader who is operating in Northern Nigeria, particularly Zamfara, Sokoto and Niger state. Turji led a bandit gang on 2022 Zamfara massacres, almost 200 people including women and children were killed. Early life Turji was born in Shinkafi local government of Zamfara State, Northern Nigeria. Turji was raised as a Fulani herdsmen, Fulani cattle herder without education. Turji claims that some of his family's cattle were stolen by a pro-security forces vigilante group called the Yan Sakai who also murdered six of Turji's siblings. Turji also claims his father tried to sue the Emir of Zurmi (to whom the stolen cattle were given) but his efforts failed, and that the Yan Sakai killed his uncle.
