Wilfred Shine (12 July 1864 – 14 March 1939 in Kingston-Upon-Thames, England) was a British actor, mainly on the stage, and a specialist in melodrama. He was the father of the actor Bill Shine. Thomas Shine
Thomas Shine KC*HS (12 February 1872 – 22 November 1955) was an Irish-born prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as the Bishop of Middlesbrough from 1929 to 1955. Born in New Inn, County Tipperary, Ireland on 12 February 1872, completing his clerical studies in St. Joseph's Seminary, Leeds and, he was ordained to the priesthood on 29 June 1894. He was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Middlesbrough and Titular Bishop of ''Lamus'' on 12 April 1921. His consecration to the Episcopate took place on 29 June 1921, the principal consecrator was Bishop Richard Lacy of Middlesbrough, and the principal co-consecrators were Bishop Joseph Cowgill of Leeds and Archbishop Frederick Keating of Liverpool. Tara Shine is an Irish environmental scientist, policy advisor and science communicator. Her work considers climate change negotiations and capacity building. Richard Shine
Richard Shine (born 7 June 1950) is an Australian evolutionary biologist and ecologist; he has conducted extensive research on reptiles and amphibians, and proposed a novel mechanism for evolutionary change. He is currently a Professor of Biology at Macquarie University, and an Emeritus Professor at The University of Sydney. Early life Rick Shine was born in Brisbane in 1950. Pat Shine is an American minor league baseball manager and former Major League coach. In , he managed the Clinton LumberKings, Class A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners until June 2017. He is a former member of the coaching staff of MLB's Miami Marlins, and pitched to Giancarlo Stanton in the 2016 Major League Baseball Home Run Derby, which Stanton won. Michael Lyle "Mike" Shine (born September 19, 1953 in Youngsville, Pennsylvania) is a former United States Olympic athlete. At the 1976 Summer Olympics held in Montreal, he earned the silver medal in the 400 m men's hurdles, behind Edwin Moses, who set the world record and effectively opened a new chapter in the event in that race. Kevin Shine
Kevin James Shine (born 22 February 1969) is a former first-class cricketer and former coach of Somerset County Cricket Club, and was the fast-bowling coach for the England cricket team from 2006 until 2019. In November 2019 he joined Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club as an Assistant Coach. His first-class career ran from 1989 to 1998, during which he played for Hampshire, Middlesex and Somerset. He took 249 first-class wickets at an average of 36.09, including 55 in the 1997 season. His best innings figures were 8 for 47 for Hampshire against Lancashire in 1992. Keith Peter Shine (born 19 April 1958) Fellow of the Royal Society, FRS is the Regius Professor of Meteorology and Climate, Climate Science at the University of Reading. He is the first holder of this post, which was awarded to the university by Elizabeth II, Queen Elizabeth II to mark Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II, her Diamond Jubilee.
