"Shine" is a song by British reggae group Aswad. The song was written by Joe Cang and Aswad, who also produced it. Released on 6 June 1994 in a radically remixed form courtesy of the Beatmasters, it was the first single from the group's seventeenth album, '' Rise and Shine'' (1994). It is the band's second-biggest hit in the United Kingdom, after 1988's "Don't Turn Around", reaching number five on the UK Singles Chart. "Shine" also became a top-40 hit in several European countries and New Zealand. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. ''DV'' (''Dagblaðið Vísir'') is an online newspaper in Iceland published by Torg ehf. It came into existence as a daily newspaper in 1981 when two formerly independent newspapers, Vísir and Dagblaðið, merged.
