Sherrick Terravis McManis (born December 19, 1987) is an American football cornerback and special teamer who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at Northwestern. Early years McManis attended Richwoods High School in Peoria, Illinois where he played football and was a state champion long-jumper. Considered only a two-star recruit by ''Rivals.com'', McManis chose Northwestern over Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois, and Illinois State. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. Corey Andrew Wootton (born June 22, 1987) is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Northwestern University. As a junior, he garnered first-team All-Big Ten Conference honors. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Brett Alan Kern (born February 17, 1986) is an American football punter for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Toledo and was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Sherrick (July 6, 1957 – January 22, 1999) was an American soul singer and musician. Biography He was born F Lamonte-Smith; or Lamotte Smith in 1957 in Sacramento, California, United States. Sherrick was given his professional break by producer Raynoma Gordy Singleton (née Mayberry), former wife of Motown founder Berry Gordy. Sherrick was the lead singer of the Motown group, Kagny, who recorded a song for the Motown movie, ''The Last Dragon'' in 1985. He signed with Warner Bros. Records in 1987, co-producing an album with Michael Stokes and with Ray Singleton as an executive producer. The album, titled ''Sherrick'', included "Just Call" which reached number 8 in the US ''Billboard'' R&B chart.
