''Sherni'' () is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by Harmesh Malhotra. The film stars Sridevi in the lead role, while Shatrughan Sinha, Pran, Ranjeet, Kader Khan, Tej Sapru in the supporting roles. The music is composed by Kalyanji-Anandji. The film marked the second collaboration between Sridevi and Harmesh Malhotra following the 1986 Nagina. Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jaffrey (29 March 1939 – 8 July 2020), better known by his stage name Jagdeep, was an Indian actor and comedian who appeared in more than 400 films. He played Soorma Bhopali in ''Sholay'' (1975), Machchar in ''Purana Mandir'' (1983), Salman Khan's dad in ''Andaz Apna Apna'' (1994) and directed the movie ''Soorma Bhopali'', with his character as the protagonist. Sadhana Sargam (née Ghanekar, born 7 March 1969) is an Indian singer known for her playback career in Indian cinema predominantly in Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and Tamil language films.
