Sherman Johnson
Sherman Lee Johnson (born July 15, 1990) is an American former professional baseball infielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for one season with the Los Angeles Angels. He currently serves as the hitting coach for the Bowie Baysox in the Baltimore Orioles organization. Professional career Los Angeles Angels After graduating from Braulio Alonso High School in Tampa, Florida, Johnson enrolled at Florida State University where he played college baseball for the Florida State Seminoles. In 2012, as a junior at FSU, he batted .263 with five home runs and 38 RBIs in 67 games (all starts). Johnson was drafted by the Angels in the 14th round of the 2012 MLB Draft and signed. After signing with the Angels, Johnson was assigned to the Orem Owlz and spent the whole season there, batting .269 with three home runs and twenty RBIs in 54 games. The Florida State Seminoles baseball team represents Florida State University (variously Florida State or FSU) in the sport of college baseball. The Orem Owlz were a Minor League Baseball team located in Orem, Utah, United States, from 2001 to 2020. The team competed in the Pioneer League as a Rookie League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. The Owlz played their home games at Home of the Owlz on the campus of Utah Valley University.
