Sheriff Y.C.
Sheriff Youth Club is an Irish association football club based in Sheriff Street, Dublin. Their senior team plays in the Athletic Union League. They have also competed in the FAI Cup, the FAI Junior Cup and the Leinster Senior Cup. History In the 2010s Sheriff Y.C. have emerged as one of the most successful junior and amateur teams in the Republic of Ireland. Between 2009 and 2010 and 2014–15 they have won the Athletic Union League Premier A title six times. This included a five in a row sequence between 2011 and 2012 and 2014–15. During this time Sheriff were also regular winners of the two AUL league cups, the Nivea Cup and the Liddy Cup. They also won two FAI Junior Cups and two Leinster Junior Cups. Fairview Park, Dublin
Fairview () is an inner coastal suburb of Dublin in Ireland, in the jurisdiction of Dublin City Council and in the city's D03 postal district. Part of the area forms Fairview Park, a recreational amenity laid-out on land reclaimed from the sea. Location Modern day Fairview is a popular inner suburb of Dublin that stretches north east from the River Tolka to Clontarf Road DART Station along Fairview Park to the south, and along the redbrick Victorian part of Philipsburgh Avenue to the north. 2011 FAI Cup Final
The 2011 Ford FAI Cup Final was the 88th final of the FAI Cup, the oldest domestic football competition in Ireland. The match took place on 6 November 2011 at Aviva Stadium in Dublin for the second consecutive year. The two clubs contesting the 2011 final were Premier Division side, Sligo Rovers and First Division side, Shelbourne, with the victors guaranteeing a berth in the UEFA Europa League. The 2011 final was Sligo Rovers tenth and Shelbourne's eighteenth FAI Cup Final in their 116 years of existence. The game took place on Sunday, 6 November 2011 at 3.30pm local time. John Lester (footballer)
John Lester (born 5 August 1982) is an Irish footballer who plays for North End United in the Wexford Football League. Career Lester played his schoolboy football at Leicester Celtic alongside the likes of Andy Reid, Barry Roche and Declan Field. His performances attracted cross-channel clubs and he played for West Ham United in the famous Northern Ireland Milk Cup winning the Player of the Tournament award. Despite this, he ended up signing professional terms with Everton. He began well and regularly played for the reserve team at the age of 16 but in his 2nd season, he broke his leg and missed the remainder of the year. His time on Merseyside was never the same after the broken leg and he returned home to Dublin and signed for Pete Mahon's Bohemians, making his League of Ireland debut as a substitute against Galway United on 31 August 2001. Jason McGuinness (born 8 August 1982) is an Irish footballer. Career McGuinness played at youth level for Tolka Rovers, Sheriff Y.C. and Bohemians before graduating to the Bohs first team, making his league debut as a substitute against UCD in August 2002. He made his Irish Under 21 debut four days later in an international against Finland. With the likes of Colin Hawkins and Ken Oman in his way of regular first team football, he joined rivals Shamrock Rovers and spent 2 seasons scoring 7 goals in 57 total appearances there where he established himself at the heart of their defence before re-joining Bohs in time for the 2006 season. Olivia O'Toole
Olivia Christina O'Toole (born 25 February 1971) is an Irish former international association football forward. She made her debut for the Republic of Ireland women's national football team in 1991 and captained the team before retiring in 2009. With over 130 caps she has made the most appearances for the Irish national team of any player, male or female.
