Sheridan Tongue is aEMMY-winningand BAFTA-nominated television and film music composer from Belfast, Northern Ireland. He has written and produced soundtracks for many television series including the BBC's ''Wonders of the Universe'' and ''Wonders of the Solar System'', ''Silent Witness'' (Series 9 – 20), ''Into The Universe with Stephen Hawking''],. Sheridan Tongue's score for '' Spooks (TV series), Spooks'' (Series 3), achieved a BAFTA Television Craft nomination for ''Best Original Television Music''. British Academy Television Awards
The BAFTA TV Awards, or British Academy Television Awards are presented in an annual award show hosted by the BAFTA. They have been awarded annually since 1955. ''Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking'' is a 2010 science documentary television mini-series written by British physicist Stephen Hawking. The series was created for Discovery Channel by Darlow Smithson Productions and features computer generated imagery of the universe created by Red Vision. The series premiered on 25 April 2010 in the United States and started on 9 May 2010 in the United Kingdom with a modified title, ''Stephen Hawking's Universe'' (not to be confused with the 1997 PBS series by the same name). An original soundtrack was composed for the series by television and film composer Sheridan Tongue, combining symphonic orchestral recordings with electronic and sampled elements. ''Silent Witness'' is a British crime drama television series produced by the BBC, which focuses on a team of forensic pathology experts and their investigations into various crimes. First broadcast in 1996, the series was created by Nigel McCrery, a former murder squad detective based in Nottingham. Twenty-five series of ''Silent Witness'' have been broadcast since 1996. Amanda Burton starred as primary character Dr. Sam Ryan before leaving the show during the eighth series. ''Wonders of the Universe'' is a 2011 television series produced by the BBC, Discovery Channel, and Science Channel, hosted by physicist Professor Brian Cox.
