Baron Sherfield, of Sherfield-on-Loddon in the County of Southampton, Is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1964 for the diplomat Sir Roger Makins. He had previously served as British Ambassador to the United States. His eldest son, the second Baron, was a leading expert on national security and defence issues. the title is held by the latter's younger brother, the third Baron, who succeeded in 2006. Grant Sherfield (born October 29, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for Hapoel Be'er Sheva of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He played college basketball for the Oklahoma Sooners, Wichita State Shockers and Nevada Wolf Pack. High school career Sherfield attended North Crowley High School in Fort Worth, Texas. As a junior, he averaged 24.1 points, 4.2 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game, earning District 4-6A co-MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. For his senior season, Sherfield transferred to Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas. He averaged a team-high 15.6 points and led the program to its first GEICO Nationals appearance. Henry Sherfield
Henry Sherfield (1572 (baptised) – January 1634) was an English lawyer and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1621 to 1629. He held strong Puritan views, and was taken through a celebrated court case as a result of his iconoclastic action. Life Sherfield probably lived in early life at Walhampton in Hampshire. He chose the law as his profession, and entered at Lincoln's Inn. Shortly before 1614 he received an appointment as Recorder of Southampton. He was elected as Member of Parliament for Southampton in 1621. From 1622 to his death he served as one of the governors of Lincoln's Inn and was reader in 1623. In January 1624 he was chosen as MP for both Southampton and Salisbury. In March of the same year he became recorder of Salisbury and chose to sit for Salisbury. Trent Sherfield (born February 26, 1996) is an American football wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Vanderbilt. Sherfield on Loddon—formerly ''Sherfield upon Loddon''—is a village and civil parish in the English county of Hampshire. It is located at , approximately south of Reading and north of Basingstoke. At the 2001 census it had a population of 1,594. This had increased to 1,644 at the 2011 Census, with a further 1,463 assigned to the Sherfield Park development on the edge of Basingstoke, prior to it being separated to form a parish of its own in 2016.
