Sher Afzal Khan Marwat () is a Pakistani politician who is member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since 29 February 2024. He is a lawyer by profession who represented several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politicians, including former chairman Imran Khan. Early life and education Marwat was born into a Pashtun family of the Marwat tribe on 4 April 1971, and following his early education from the Government Degree College Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He then received his bachelors (LLB) from University of Peshawar and then finally earned his LLM degree from the Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Legal and professional career Marwat started as a judicial officer before serving in the Estate Office on deputation, later becoming Director General of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA). Lakki Marwat or Lakki (Urdu and ps, ) is the headquarters of Lakki Marwat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Gohar Ali Khan ( ur, ; born 15 April 1971) is a Pakistani lawyer and politician who is the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) since 2 December 2023. He previously served as the party's chief election commissioner from 15 July 2023 till 30 November 2023. As an attorney, Khan has aided former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his predecessor as chair of the PTI, in his legal cases. Prior to joining the PTI in 2022, he was affiliated with the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) for 5 years. He had unsuccessfully contested the 2008 Pakistani general election as a member of the PPP. Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 25 July 2018 to elect the members of the 11th Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, alongside nationwide general elections and three other provincial elections in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab.
