Ravindra Singh Bhati
Ravindra Singh Bhati (born 3 December 1997) is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Sheo Assembly constituency. He also served as the President of Jai Narain Vyas University Student Union from 2019-2022. Early life and education Bhati was born on 3 December 1997 in ''Dudhoda'' village of Barmer district, Rajasthan. His father, Shaitan Singh Bhati, is a school teacher and his mother, Ashok Kanwar, is a homemaker. He did his BA and LLB from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur. Political career Student politics Bhati initiated his political journey through student politics at JNVU. Following ABVP's refusal of ticket, he contested independently, securing victory as the inaugural independent student union president in JNVU's 57-year history. "None of the above" (NOTA), or none for short, also known as "against all" or a "scratch" vote, is a ballot option in some jurisdictions or organizations, designed to allow the voter to indicate disapproval of the candidates in a voting system. 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in Rajasthan on 25 November 2023 to elect 199 of the 200 members of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. The results were declared on 3 December 2023. The election for the Karanpur seat was adjourned following the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Kooner. The BJP wrested power by winning 115 seats, unseating the Indian National Congress from power and continuing the trend of governments changing every five years in the state. 2018 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election
The Indian National Congress became the single largest party with 100 seats, short of majority by 1 seat. The Bharatiya Janata Party won 73 seats, much lower compared to the previous election in which it won an absolute majority of 163 seats. Colonel Manvendra Singh Jasol (born 19 May 1964) is an Indian politician. He is a member of the Indian National Congress. He joined Congress on 17 October 2018. He was the member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India from 2004-2009 representing the Barmer-Jaisalmer constituency of Rajasthan and was considered an upcoming leader for BJP. Early life Colonel Manvendra Singh was born on 19 May 1964 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. His father is Jaswant Singh, a former Finance Minister and Defence Minister of India, and mother is Sheetal Kanwar. Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Rajasthan on 1 December 2013. Results were announced on 8 December. The incumbent ruling party Indian National Congress, led by the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, lost the elections to Vasundhara Raje-led BJP, who was being touted as the next incumbent. Pre-poll surveys Election Polling was held on 1 December in 199 assembly seats out of 200 seats. Churu constituency polling was postponed to 13 December due to death of BSP candidate Jagdish Meghwal.
