Shehan Madushanka
Devapurage Shehan Madushanka Kumara or commonly as Shehan Madushanka (born 10 May 1995) is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who plays limited over internationals. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast medium bowler. He is a past pupil of Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa. Domestic career Madushanka made his first class debut against Zimbabwe Development XI. He made his List A debut for Kilinochchi District in the 2016–17 Districts One Day Tournament on 15 March 2017. In March 2018, Madushanka was named in Dambulla's squad for the 2017–18 Super Four Provincial Tournament. The following month, he was also named in Dambulla's squad for the 2018 Super Provincial One Day Tournament. In August 2018, Madushanka was named in Dambulla's squad the 2018 SLC T20 League. Wennappuwa
Wennappuwa is a town in Puttalam District, North Western Province, Sri Lanka, North Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is north of Negombo. The village of Wennappuwa is mentioned in the Culavamsa as a small farming hamlet. History A church made of wattle and daub, consecrated to St. Joseph, was put up in Gangoda in 1850. Very Rev. Fr. Contentious Chounavel (OMI) a French Missionary and the founder of the church arrived at Wennappuwa between 1861 and 1863 A.D. 300 families lived there at the time. His intention was to gather those families whose faith was strong and visible, under one roof. 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup
The 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the third edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Karachi, Pakistan and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Eight teams participated in the tournament including five under-23 age level teams of Test nations and top three teams from 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier. This tournament was organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Initially, Pakistan was sole host for the tournament but India and BCCI refused to send Indian players to Pakistan. Following the increasing political tensions between India and Pakistan, ACC announced that Sri Lanka would be the co-host whilst India's matches and knockout stage will be played there. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is the governing body for cricket in Sri Lanka. It was first registered with the Sri Lankan Ministry of Sports (Sri Lanka), Ministry of Sports as the Board of Cricket for Sri Lanka (BCCSL) on 30 June 1975 as a national sports body. The board was renamed in 2003. Nidahas Trophy is an international cricket tournament held in Sri Lanka. The tournament is held to celebrate the independence of the Asian island country Sri Lanka. The tournament is not a regular event in the calendar with the previous tournaments having a gap of 20 years in between. Each of the three participating teams play each other twice and the top two progress to the final. In March 2017 Sri Lanka Cricket announced that the 2018 tournament would be played in the newer and shorter T20I format with Bangladesh entering the tournament, replacing the only Non-Asian team in the triple-nation New Zealand. Sri Lankan Cricket Team In Bangladesh In 2017–18
The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Bangladesh in January and February 2018 to play two Tests and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. Prior to the tour, both teams played in a tri-series, along with Zimbabwe. In December 2017, Shakib Al Hasan was named as the new captain of Bangladesh's Test squad, replacing Mushfiqur Rahim. However, ahead of the Test series, Shakib suffered a hand injury during the final of the 2017–18 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series, with Mahmudullah named as captain of Bangladesh for the first Test. It was Mahmudullah's first Test as captain and he became the tenth player to lead Bangladesh in Tests.
