Shea Langeliers
Shea Ryan Langeliers (born November 18, 1997) is an American professional baseball catcher for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022. He played college baseball for the Baylor Bears. Amateur career Langeliers attended Keller High School in Keller, Texas. He began catching as a high school sophomore. As a senior in 2016, Langeliers batted .369 with six home runs and 31 RBIs. He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 34th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and instead chose to attend Baylor University to play college baseball for the Baylor Bears. As a freshman at Baylor in 2017, Langeliers batted .313 with ten home runs and 38 RBIs in 55 games. Catcher is a Baseball positions, position in baseball and softball. When a Batter (baseball), batter takes their at bat, turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home plate, home) Umpire (baseball), umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. In addition to this primary duty, the catcher is also called upon to master many other skills in order to field the position well. The role of the catcher is similar to that of the wicket-keeper in cricket. The Mississippi Braves, or M-Braves as they are referred to locally, are a Minor League Baseball team based in Pearl, Mississippi, a suburb of Jackson.
