She Be Wild (foaled March 7, 2007, in Kentucky), is an American Thoroughbred racehorse. Background She Be Wild was sired by Offlee Wild, who was sired by Wild Again. She is out of the mare Trapping, who is by Seeking The Gold, a son of the influential Mr. Prospector. Racing career She Be Wild made her racing debut at age two in 2009 with a 7¼-length maiden special weight, followed up by an allowance race victory. On August 8, she won the Top Flight Stakes by 5¼-lengths and on September 5, she won the Grade III Arlington-Washington Lassie Stakes. Unbeaten in three starts, she was then entered, and made the heavy betting favorite, for the $500,000 Grade I Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland but finished second to Negligee. On November 6, 2009, She Be Wild won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. She was voted American Champion Two-Year-Old Filly for 2009. Offlee Wild (April 5, 2000 – September 6, 2016) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse won multiple graded stakes races. As a sire, his most successful offspring was Breeders' Cup Classic winner Bayern. Background Bred by Dorothy A. Matz in Kentucky, he was sired by Wild Again, who won the inaugural Breeders' Cup Classic in 1984 and became a moderately successful sire. Keeneland Association, Inc. is an equine business based in Lexington, Kentucky. Buckpasser (1963–1978) was a champion American Thoroughbred racehorse who was the 1966 Horse of the Year. His other achievements include 1965 Champion Two-Year-Old, 1966 Champion Three-Year-Old, 1966 Champion Handicap Horse, and 1967 Champion Handicap Horse. He was also the leading broodmare sire in 1983, 1984, and 1989. Background Buckpasser was a bay colt that was bred and owned by Ogden Phipps and foaled at Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky. Raise a Native (April 18, 1961 – July 28, 1988) was an undefeated Thoroughbred Horse racing, racehorse that was named 1963 champion two-year-old colt in the Turf and Sport Digest poll and was the highest rated juvenile in the Experimental Free Handicap. He sired 74 stakes winners, including Majestic Prince and Alydar. In its 1988 obituary for the horse, ''The New York Times'' called him "the most influential sire of American Thoroughbred stallions over the last 20 years". Khaled (1943–1968) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse best known as a sire in the United States. Bred and raced in England by the Aga Khan III, Khaled was sired by Hyperion, the 1933 Epsom Derby and St. Leger Stakes winner and a six-time Leading sire in Great Britain & Ireland. Hyperion was a son of 1918 English Triple Crown champion Gainsborough. Khaled was out of the mare Eclair, and his damsire, Ethnarch, was a son of The Tetrarch. The United Kingdom's National Horseracing Museum called The Tetrarch a "phenomenon" and reported that he was voted Britain's two-year-old of his century. Affirmed (February 21, 1975 – January 12, 2001) was a champion American Thoroughbred racehorse who is the eleventh winner of the American Triple Crown. Affirmed was well known for his famous rivalry with Alydar, whom he met ten times, including coming second in each of the three 1978 Triple Crown races. After Affirmed won the Triple Crown, there was a 37-year wait until American Pharoah swept the series in 2015. Bay is a hair coat color of horses, characterized by a reddish-brown or brown body color with a black point coloration on the mane, tail, ear edges, and lower legs.
