Shirley Patterson
Shirley Patterson, sometimes billed as Shawn Smith, (December 26, 1922 – April 4, 1995) was a Canadian-born B-movie actress of the 1940s and 1950s. Early years Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Patterson grew up in Eastend, Saskatchewan. She was the daughter of druggist Benjamin Patterson. The family moved to Los Angeles because of her father's health problems, and she finished her education there. Career Patterson began her acting career after being a beauty contestant in pageants in California from 1939 to 1940. In 1940, she won the Miss California Pageant but was disqualified later when it was found she was underage. The second-place contestant (Rosemary LaPlanche) won the Miss America Pageant in 1941. She signed a contract with Columbia Pictures after a talent scout saw her perform in a little theater production. Her career spanned 40 films, a few television appearances, and a serial. Shawn Smith (musician)
Shawn Smith (October 28, 1965 – April 3, 2019) was an American singer, songwriter and musician. He was a member of the Seattle-based alternative and indie rock bands Brad, Satchel, Pigeonhed, and The Twilight Singers, and also performed as a solo artist. Smith cited Freddie Mercury, Prince, and KISS as early influences. Other influences he noted are Steven Tyler, Bon Scott, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Andy Wood, and Chris Cornell. Biography Smith was born in Spokane, Washington in 1965 and attended high school in Bakersfield, California, relocating to Seattle in 1987. He befriended drummer Regan Hagar while both were working at Tower Records in the late ‘80s. The pair formed Satchel shortly thereafter, and eventually, formed Brad with Stone Gossard and Jeremy Toback. He entered the league in the season as an umpire, and was promoted to referee for the season, following the retirements of Terry McAulay and Gene Steratore. Tina Peters (1955/1956) is Mesa County, Colorado's County Clerk and Recorder, and was noted in regional, national, and international news during 2020-22 for having a role in elections yet asserting election fraud. She was notably "one of at least twenty-two election deniers vying n 2022to take charge of elections in eighteen states.", and she has been the first elections official in the U.S. to face criminal charges related to stolen election conspiracy theories surrounding the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
