Shawn Pierce is a television and film score composer. He has resided in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Winnipeg. Career Pierce is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he majored in Film Scoring. He has worked as a music editor and composer on various TV series, garnering multiple award nominations, including a Leo Award nomination for the film ''A Wrinkle in Time'' in 2004 and three Leo Award nominations for work on '' The Dead Zone'' in 2007. In 2006, he provided the music for the Canadian documentary series ''Recreating Eden'', for which he received a Gemini nomination (Best Original Music for a Lifestyle/Practical Information or Reality Program or Series 2008). ''Defying Gravity'' is a multi-nationally produced space travel television science fiction drama series which first aired on August 2, 2009 on ABC and CTV and was canceled in October 2009. We Were Children
''We Were Children'' is a 2012 Canadian documentary film about the experiences of First Nations children in the Canadian Indian residential school system. Directed by Tim Wolochatiuk and written by Jason Sherman, the film recounts the experiences of two residential school survivors: Lyna Hart, who was sent to the Guy Hill Residential School in Manitoba at age 4; and Glen Anaquod, who was sent to the Lebret Indian Residential School in Saskatchewan. ''We Were Children'' combines interviews with the two with dramatic recreations of their experiences. According to Hart, her participation in the film marked the first time that she had shared the full story of her time in the school. Coco Love Alcorn is a Canadian pop and jazz singer. The daughter of jazz singer John Alcorn, she released her debut album in 1995. ''Recreating Eden'' is a Canadian lifestyle and gardening television documentary program. Its aim is to examine the physical, mental, and spiritual healing effects that gardens have on their keepers History ''Recreating Eden'' was originally broadcast on HGTV Canada in 2002, but after two seasons was not renewed. It was then picked up by VisionTV for an additional three seasons. As of 2010, the series has not been renewed for a sixth season.
