Shawn M. Clark (born c. 1964) is an American organizational theorist, a senior lecturer at the College of Information Sciences and Technology of Pennsylvania State University, executive director of the defunct Institute for Global Prescience and a consultant. He is known for his work on strategic sensemaking in organizations. Organizational theory refers to the set of interrelated concepts that involve the sociological study of the structures and operations of formal social organizations. Organizational theory also attempts to explain how interrelated units of organization do or do not connect with each other.
