Shawn Faulkner
Shawn Faulkner (born June 22, 1962) is a former American football running back who played four seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Montreal Alouettes, Ottawa Rough Riders and Calgary Stampeders. He played college football at Western Michigan University. He was also a member of the Michigan Panthers, Oakland Invaders and Tampa Bay Storm. Early years Faulkner played high school football at Port Huron Central High School in Port Huron, Michigan. He also participated in track, twice qualifying for the state finals in the low hurdles and high jump. He was also named the team's Most Outstanding Runner. Faulkner also wrestled for two years. College career Faulkner played for the Western Michigan Broncos from 1980 to 1983. He was NCAA Division I-A's second leading rusher with 1,668 yards his senior season in 1983. Port Huron, Michigan
Port Huron is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of St. Clair County. The population was 30,184 at the 2010 census. The city is adjacent to Port Huron Township but is administered separately. Located along the St. Clair River, it is connected to Point Edward, Ontario in Canada via the Blue Water Bridge. The Arena Football League (AFL) was a professional arena football league in the United States. It was founded in 1986, but played its first official games in the 1987 season, making it the third longest-running professional football league in North America after the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL) until the AFL closed in 2019. The 1987 CFL season is considered to be the 34th season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 30th Canadian Football League season.
