Shaun Hollinshead
Shaun Hollinshead (born 21 February 1961) is an English footballer who played in the Football League for Crewe Alexandra. After ending his semi-pro career he turned to management and is currently in charge of Eccleshall. Career Hollinshead was born in Sandbach and began his career with Crewe Alexandra. He made five appearances under manager Harry Gregg but failed to forge a career in professional football and became a foreman groundsman with Cheshire County Council and played semi-pro football with Congleton Town, Eastwood Hanley, Kidsgrove Athletic, Newcastle Town and Rhyl. He turned to management with Congleton Vale and Alsager Town and had a successful spell with Stone Dominoes. Sandbach (pronounced ) is the name of a historic market town and a civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East, Cheshire, England. The civil parish contains four settlements: Sandbach itself as the largest, Elworth, Ettiley Heath and Wheelock. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. Harry Gregg
Henry Gregg, (27 October 1932 – 16 February 2020), was a Northern Irish professional footballer and manager. A goalkeeper, he played for Manchester United during the reign of Sir Matt Busby, with a total of 247 appearances for the club. He was a survivor of the Munich air disaster in 1958. Gregg also played for Doncaster Rovers and Stoke City, as well as making 25 appearances for the Northern Ireland national team between 1954 and 1963, including at the 1958 FIFA World Cup. He later went into management with Carlisle United, Crewe Alexandra, Shrewsbury Town and Swansea City. Eccleshall is a town and civil parish in the Stafford district, in the county of Staffordshire, England. It is located seven miles northwest of Stafford, and six miles west-southwest of Stone. Eccleshall is twinned with Sancerre in France. History According to the Domesday Book, Eccleshall in 1086 was no more than a small village of about one hundred inhabitants. A few fragments of stone at the base of the tower of the present Parish Church of Holy Trinity suggest that a stone church was in existence about this time and the base of a 10th-century cross still stands outside the church.
