Shaun Evans (rugby Union)
Shaun Evans (born 14 September 1996) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for United Rugby Championship team Scarlets as a hooker. Professional career Evans played school rugby for Coleg Sir Gâr, and made his debut for the Carmarthen Quins in March 2015, establishing himself as a first team regular by the 2015–16 season. Evans earned a call-up to the Wales U20 squad for the 2016 Six Nations Under 20s Championship, where he scored three tries in five games as Wales won their first Grand Slam at this level. He earned another call-up for the 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship, where he made a further three appearances. Evans earned his first professional contract with the Scarlets in 2016. Evans played for the Scarlets development side in the British and Irish Cup prior to making his competitive debut. On 14 April 2018, Evans made his full debut for the Scarlets, against Edinburgh. Carmarthen
Carmarthen (, RP: ; cy, Caerfyrddin , "Merlin's fort" or "Sea-town fort") is the county town of Carmarthenshire and a community in Wales, lying on the River Towy. north of its estuary in Carmarthen Bay. 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship
The 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship was the ninth annual international rugby union competition for Under 20 national teams. The event was organised in England by rugby's governing body, World Rugby. Twelve nations took part in the tournament, which was held at two venues in Greater Manchester—AJ Bell Stadium in Salford and Manchester City Academy Stadium in Manchester. Scarlets Players
The Scarlets () are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium. They play in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup (which replaced the Heineken Cup from the 2014–15 season). The club was originally named the Llanelli Scarlets but was renamed at the start of the 2008–09 rugby season. The Llanelli Scarlets were founded in 2003, as one of the five (now four) regional teams created by the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU). Jac Price (born 4 August 2000) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for United Rugby Championship side Scarlets. His preferred position is lock. Professional career Carmarthen–born Price attended Ysgol Bro Myrddin, and began his rugby career with local team Carmarthen Quins. He played for the Quins through all age grade levels, and represented their first team before featuring for the Scarlets. In 2019, Price was selected for Wales U20 for the 2019 Six Nations Under 20s Championship. He was suspended after the first round, missing the following two matches. Price was selected for the 2019 World Rugby Under 20 Championship, and the 2020 Six Nations Under 20s Championship. Price signed his first professional contract for Scarlets in August 2020. Harri O'Connor (born 25 October 2000) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays as a tighthead prop for the Scarlets. Professional career A member of the Dorchester Rugby Football Club youth side, O'Connor was part of the Bath academy, before being spotted by the WRU Exiles program and moving to Wales. O'Connor was named in the Scarlets academy for the 2020–21 season. In March 2021, he joined RFU Championship side on loan. He made his debut on 7 March against , coming on as a replacement. British And Irish Cup
The British and Irish Cup was an annual rugby union competition for second tier, semi-professional clubs and the reserves or developing teams from professional clubs from Great Britain and Ireland. It took place for the first time in the 2009–10 season, and ran for 9 seasons. After clubs from the English Championship decided to withdraw from the 2018-19 season, the competition was abolished. The Welsh and Irish rugby unions thereafter reinstituted the Celtic Cup competition for its development sides. Leinster A and Munster A were the most successful sides in the competition, winning the trophy twice each. Five English clubs shared the remaining competition wins.
