Sharyn Clough
Sharyn Clough (born 14 May 1965) is professor of philosophy at Oregon State University. Her teaching and research specialties focus on public philosophy, Peace Literacy, philosophy of science, social epistemology, contemporary pragmatism, and feminist theory. Clough is the Director of the Phronesis Lab at OSU where she and her students design and assess curriculum to teach Peace Literacy as phronesis or practical wisdom. Clough is also the Peace Literacy Curriculum Coordinator working with a team of educators from pre-K to higher education, who design and test Peace Literacy curriculum in their classrooms around the US and Canada. Sharyn Hodgson (born 25 August 1968) is an Australian former actress, best known as an original character in TV serial ''Home and Away'' playing troubled teenager Carly Morris (later Luccini), she has subsequently returned to the role guest appearances reprising the part until 2008. Early life Hodgson was born in Sydney, New South Wales and attended drama school with the Phillip Street Drama School when she was 15. She spent four years studying there on Saturday mornings, which led to work with the Film and Television School appearing in films for students. McCrumb is the winner of numerous literary awards, and the author of the Elizabeth McPherson mystery series, the Ballad series, and the St. Dale series. Early life Sharyn McCrumb was born Sharyn Elaine Arwood on February 26, 1948, in Wilmington, North Carolina. Career McCrumb is a Southern writer, perhaps best known for her Appalachian "Ballad" novels, including the ''New York Times'' best sellers ''The Ballad of Frankie Silver'' and ''She Walks These Hills'', and for ''St. Dale'', winner of a Library of Virginia Award and featured at the National Festival of the Book. Patricia Sharyn Moffett (September 12, 1936 – December 23, 2021) was an American child actress who appeared in films during the 1940s. Life and career Moffett was born in Alameda, California on September 12, 1936, to a show business family. Her parents were singer R.E. Moffett and dancer Gladyce Lloyd Roberts. Her younger brother, Gregory Moffett, was also a child actor. At the age of 11 months, Moffett appeared in ''In Old Chicago'' for 20th Century Fox. When she was four, her parents moved to Beverly Hills, California to explore her potential as a movie actress. By age five, she had appeared in the 1942 Three Stooges short film '' Even as IOU'' as a daughter whose family was dispossessed. Until March 2016 she was Senior Editor for Viking Press, Viking Children's Books and Editorial Director of Firebird Books, which is a mainly paperback (reprint) imprint publishing fantasy and science fiction for teenagers and adults. Biography November was born in New York. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College after studying poetry; at 21 she was awarded a scholarship to the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. She has been published in several magazines. After working as a secretary, she became an editor, starting her career at Penguin in 1990 at Puffin Books as an associate editor.
