Sharon Davids
Sharon Winona Davids is a South African politician who has served as the deputy provincial chairperson of the African National Congress in the Western Cape since June 2023. She had previously served as an ANC Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 2014 to 2019 and before that, as a councillor in the Drakenstein Local Municipality. Political career Davids is a member of the African National Congress. During her tenure as a councillor in the Drakenstein Local Municipality, she was a portfolio member on infrastructure. Davids was nominated to the Western Cape Provincial Parliament following the general election that was held on 7 May 2014, as she was placed 5th on the ANC's list and the party won 14 seats. She was sworn in as an MPP on 21 May 2014. Davids was not placed on ANC's provincial list for the 2019 provincial election and left the provincial parliament on 7 May 2019. Cape Town International Convention Centre
The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) is a convention centre in Cape Town, South Africa. The centre opened in June 2003. It is run as a partnership between the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape government. 2014 Western Cape Provincial Election
A provincial election was held in the Western Cape on 7 May 2014 to elect a new provincial parliament. It was the fifth provincial election held since the end of the apartheid era, and also the first held since the death of Nelson Mandela. Although not constitutionally required, the election was held simultaneously with elections to the National Assembly. The legislature is unicameral, and consists of 42 members elected by a system of party-list proportional representation. The Western Cape is a province of South Africa, situated on the south-western coast of the country. The Western Cape Provincial Parliament (WCPP) is the legislature of the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is located at 7 Wale Street in Cape Town.
