Sharifa Quader is a Bangladeshi politician who is the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member from the reserved women's seat-45. Career Quader is advisor to the chairman of Jatiya Party, president of Jatiya Sanskritik Party and president of Lalmonirhat district Jatiya Party. On 13 September 2021, Masuda M Rashid Chowdhury, a Jatiya Sangsad member from the reserved women's seat-45 of the 11th National Assembly died in office. In the by-election of this vacant seat, on 1 November, Quader was nominated without a contest. Personal life Quader is married to GM Quader, the current chairman of Jatiya Party. Masuda M Rashid Chowdhury
Masuda M Rashid Chowdhury (22 July 1951 – 13 September 2021) was a Jatiya Party (Ershad) politician and a Jatiya Sangsad member from a reserved seat during 2019–2021. Career Chowdhury was a faculty member at the department of sociology of the University of Dhaka. She was elected to the parliament from a reserved seat as a Jatiya Party (Ershad) candidate in February 2019. In June, the then chairperson of the party, Hussain Muhammad Ershad had temporarily suspended her from the party which was reinstated two months later by the new chairperson GM Quader. Personal life Chowdhury was married to A.B.M. Fazle Rashid Chowdhury Hiru, son of AKM Fazlul Kabir Chowdhury. Lalmonirhat District
Lalmonirhat ( bn, লালমনিরহাট জেলা, ''Lalmonirhat Jela'' also ''Lalmonirhat Zila'') is a district, situated at the northern border of Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rangpur Division. Lalmonirhat mahakuma was established as a district on 1 February 1984. Jatiya Party (Ershad)
The Jatiya Party ( bn, জাতীয় পার্টি, translit=Jatiyo Party, lit=National Party) is a conservative, nationalist political party in Bangladesh and is currently the main opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad, against the Awami League. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammad Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of the opposition. Currently, it holds Rangpur out of Bangladesh's 12 city corporations. Ghulam Muhammed Quader ( bn, গোলাম মোহাম্মদ কাদের; born 24 February 1948), better known as GM Quader, is a Bangladeshi politician and the current chairperson of Jatiya Party. He is the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member from the Lalmonirhat-3 constituency. He served as the Minister of Commerce and Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism from 2009 to 2014. Early life and family Quader was born on 24 February 1948 to a Bengali Muslim family with roots in Dinhata. His parents were Mokbul Hossain and Majida Khatun.
