''Share Your Love'' is the eleventh studio album by country singer Kenny Rogers, released in 1981. Produced by Lionel Richie, it is also Rogers' first with Liberty Records besides his ''Greatest Hits'' album. The album has sold nine million copies worldwide. Overview Four singles were released from this ''Share Your Love''. "I Don't Need You" charted at number 1 on the US and Canadian country charts as well as reaching the top of the US Adult Contemporary charts, and number 3 on the US Hot 100. The title cut "Share Your Love With Me" reached number 14 on the Hot 100 and 5 in the US Country charts, though it did reach number 2 in Canada and led the US Adult Contemporary charts. Rogers then took a break to release a single from his first Christmas album. "Blaze of Glory", which featured Kin Vassy on backing vocals, was also released as a single. Thomas McClary (born October 6, 1949) is an American musician, guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer best known as the founder and lead guitarist of The Commodores. McClary is credited with having created the signature sound of The Commodores' original music. Early life McClary was born in Eustis, Florida, in 1949. He became one of the first African-American students to integrate the Florida school system prior to the enforcement of Brown v. Board of Education. Joe Chemay is an American bassist and background singer, known for his recording session work. Biography Chemay started out working as a session and touring support musician in Los Angeles, but moved to Nashville in 1989. Chemay has worked with Elton John, Shania Twain, Bill Medley, Peter Cetera, Lionel Richie, Christopher Cross, The Beach Boys, Leon Russell, Michael Nesmith, and others. Fred Tackett (born August 30, 1945) is an American songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Originally a session player on guitar, mandolin, and trumpet, he is best known as a member of the band Little Feat. In addition to his work with Little Feat, Tackett has played and recorded with many notable artists, Bob Dylan and Jimmy Webb among them. He had an additional side project with another member of Little Feat; he performed as part of a duo with Paul Barrere, as Paul and Fred.
