Shanti Celeste (born in Temuco, Chile) (pronounced [ʃanti cɵɭɵstɵ]) is a Chilean DJ, electronic music producer, singer, record label owner, event promoter, radio host and illustrator now based in London, having previously been based in Berlin, Bristol and Cumbria. Her music style is associated with House music, House, Techno, Electro music, Electro, and Ambient_music, Ambient. Biography Celeste was born in Chile but moved to the United Kingdom when she was 12, as her mother married an English man. She had her first contact with electronic music at rave parties in the Lake District at the age of 15. By 17 she was taught to mix vinyl by friend, and future fellow Bristol resident; DJ and producer Kowton. After completing high school, Celeste moved to Bristol for an illustration course at the University of the West of England. Temuco
Temuco () is a city and commune, capital of the Cautín Province and of the Araucanía Region in southern Chile. The city is located south of Santiago. The city grew out from a fort of the same name established in 1881 during Chile's invasion of Araucanía. Temuco lies in the middle of the historic Araucanía, a traditional land of the indigenous Mapuche. Temuco's central place in Araucanía with easy access to the Andean valleys, lakes and coastal areas makes it a hub for tourism, agricultural, livestock and forestry operations as well as a communication and trade centre for the numerous small towns of Araucanía.
