Shantay Legans
Shantay Andrade Legans (born July 30, 1981) is an American college basketball coach who is currently men's basketball head coach at Portland Pilots men's basketball, Portland. Legans grew up in Goleta, California and played college basketball at California Golden Bears men's basketball, California and Fresno State Bulldogs men's basketball, Fresno State. He briefly played professional basketball in the Netherlands before beginning a coaching career. From 2007 to 2009, Legans was an assistant coach at the Laguna Blanca School. Legans then was an assistant coach at Eastern Washington under head coaches Kirk Earlywine and Jim Hayford during a period where Eastern Washington turned around from a losing program to one of the top teams in the Big Sky Conference. Kirk Earlywine
Kirk Sanford Earlywine (born July 4, 1964) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently an assistant coach at the University of Idaho. Earlywine was head coach at Pfeiffer and Eastern Washington and has been an assistant coach at multiple other colleges. Early life and education Born in Indianapolis, Earlywine graduated from Campbell University in 1987 with a degree in physical education. He got his first coaching experience at Campbell, serving as a student assistant for the Fighting Camels. Coaching career Earlywine's first full-time coaching experience came under the tutelage of Rick Majerus, beginning in 1987 at Ball State University for two seasons. The 2017–18 Eastern Washington Eagles men's basketball team represented Eastern Washington University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represents Seattle University in NCAA Division I basketball competition. Established in 1946, the team was previously known as the Seattle Chieftains. The 2017 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) was a single-elimination tournament of 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams that did not participate on the 2017 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament or the NIT. The opening games were held on March 15 and the quarterfinals were held on March 20 on campus sites. After the quarterfinals, the brackets were reseeded for the semi-finals which was held on March 22. A best of three championship series closed out the tournament on March 27, 29, and 31. The 2016 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) was a single-elimination tournament of 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams that did not participate in the NCAA Tournament or the NIT. The opening games and the quarterfinals were held in mid-March on the home courts of participating teams. After the quarterfinals, the bracket was reseeded for the semifinals. A best-of-three championship series was held between the two finalist teams. 2015 Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2015 Big Sky Conference men's basketball tournament was held March 12–14, 2015. All games were hosted by the Montana Grizzlies, which won a tiebreaker with regular season co-champions Eastern Washington, at Dahlberg Arena. The champion, Eastern Washington, received an automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA tournament. This was the final Big Sky tournament to be held at a campus site, and also the last one in which certain teams were excluded due to poor performance. From 2016 forward, the tournament will involve all conference members (barring NCAA sanctions), and will be held at a predetermined neutral site, with the first neutral-site tournament to be held at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The league had a closed system: to participate, a team has to have enough money and potential.
