Shane Yarran
Shane Yarran (2 June 1989 – 20 April 2018) was an Australian rules footballer. He played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) in the 2016 season. Yarran also played for Subiaco and Peel Thunder in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and for Kelmscott and Gosnells in the Western Australian Amateur Football League (WAAFL). Yarran's football career began in 2013 after he served a six-year prison sentence. After playing in the amateur and country leagues in 2013, he joined Subiaco in the WAFL in 2014 and helped the team win the premiership that year and the next. Yarran was awarded the Bernie Naylor Medal for kicking the most goals in the WAFL in 2015. He was picked up by the Fremantle Dockers in the 2015 AFL national draft and scored 10 goals for the team in the six games he played in the 2016 season. A restraining order or protective order, is an order used by a court to protect a person in a situation involving alleged domestic violence, child abuse, assault, harassment, stalking, or sexual assault. Gosnells is a suburb located within the City of Gosnells. Gosnells is approximately south-east of the Perth central business district. The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League. The Peel Football League (PFL) is a country football league based in the Peel region of Western Australia. The competition was formed in 1992 when teams from the Metropolitan Football League and Murray Districts Football League merged. There are currently seven clubs fielding a league reserves and colts team. The formation years The Metropolitan Football League (MFL) was a predecessor to the PFL and competed from 1988 to 1991 under the administration of the Sunday Football League. The six founding MFL teams in 1988 were Kwinana, Manning, Midland, Mosman Park, North Fremantle and Cockburn.
