Shane Salerno (born November 27, 1972) is an American screenwriter. His writing credits include the films '' Avatar: The Way of Water'', '' Armageddon'', '' Savages,'' ''Shaft'', and the TV series ''Hawaii Five-0''. Early life and education Shane Salerno was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1972. Salerno grew up in San Diego and was "a straight-laced conservative teen in a world of hippie adults." As a teen, Salerno produced and filmed ''Sundown: The Future of Children and Drugs,'' which he described as a "suburban ‘Boyz N the Hood." Charles L. "Sonny" Liston ( 1930 – December 30, 1970) was an American professional boxer who competed from 1953 to 1970.
