Shalev Menashe
Shalev Menashe ( he, שלו מנשה, born 23 May 1982) is a retired Israeli footballer who last played at Maccabi Netanya. Career Menashe started his senior career with Ironi Rishon Letzion a small club in the Israeli Premier League, but after two solid seasons in Rishon where he helped the team avoid relegation he made a move to Maccabi Petah Tikva. However, his time at Maccabi was unsuccessful when he only played one season. In 2004, he signed a deal with Hapoel Kfar Saba from Liga Leumit and in his first season with them he won the league and after 3 years with Kfar Saba he moved to Maccabi Herzliya there he only played one season after the team faced relegation. In June 2008 Menashe signed a 1-year deal with Maccabi Netanya, this was the first time he was a part of a top club in Israel and so far his time in Netanya is proving to be his finest. Rishon LeZion ( he, רִאשׁוֹן לְצִיּוֹן , ''lit.'' First to Zion, Arabic: راشون لتسيون) is a city in Israel, located along the central Israeli coastal plain south of Tel Aviv. Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second division of the Israeli Football League, and below its Premier League. Structure There are 16 clubs in the league. At the end of each season, the two lowest-placed teams are relegated to Liga Alef while the two highest-placed teams from Liga Alef are promoted in their place. The Israel State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה, ''Gvia HaMedina''), is a knockout cup competition in Israeli football, run by the Israel Football Association (IFA). The State Cup was first held in 1928 as the People's Cup. Shira Menashe Ruderman (born November 10, 1978) is an Israeli-American activist and philanthropist. Ruderman is the executive director of the Ruderman Family Foundation. Biography Shira Ruderman was born in Rishon LeZion, Israel. One of her brothers is Shalev Menashe, a professional Israeli soccer player. During her service in the Israel Defense Forces Shira served as an Arabic-language instructor. She has an undergraduate degree in education and a graduate degree in public policy, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 2013 Ruderman announced her candidacy for the mayorship of Rehovot. She pulled out of the race a few months later. Ruderman lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her husband, Jay Ruderman and their four children.
