''Shakuvaa'' is a Maldivian television series directed by Bahaulla Ibrahim. It stars Ahmed Easa, Nathasha Jaleel, Nuzuhath Shuaib and Mohamed Athik in main roles. The pilot episode of the series was released on 7 April 2022. The series consisting of five episodes, focuses on the conflicts and choices of a confused husband. Mohamed Afrah (actor)
Mohamed Afrah (born 15 November 1971) is a Maldivian film actor and journalist. Career In 2019, he made his film career debut in Maldivian first sitcom ''Karu Hakuru'' developed by Mohamed Munthasir. His performance as the nosy neighbor and the series received positive reviews from critics. He next appeared in Ilyas Waheed's psychological thriller film '' Bavathi'' (2019), where he played the role of Zahir, a middle aged man who performs ruqyah on a disturbed couple. The film narrates the story of a woman who relocates to Male' after marriage and the strange incidents that follow afterwards. The film received positive reviews from critics, where Ifraz Ali from ''Dho?'' credited the film with a four star rating and applauded the screenplay for its "tight suspense" while Aminath Luba reviewing from ''Sun'' opined that ''Bavathi'' will go down the history lane as an "unexpected masterpiece". Ahmed Easa
Ahmed Easa (born 7 October 1985) is a Maldivian film actor. Career In his childhood, Ahmed Easa watched Bollywood films and imitated the acting of Sunil Shetty in stage performances. While watching his movies, Easa grew a fondness towards cinema and decided to pursue a career in acting "if granted with a chance worth holding for". He was first offered a role in Amjad Ibrahim's romantic horror film ''Udhabaani'' (2009) but he rejected it since he was "too shy to be in front of the camera with his current physique". However, he made his film debut two years later with Hamid Ali's ''Laelaa'' (2011) co-starring Yoosuf Shafeeu, Amira Ismail and Ali. The film revolves around two daughters who are forced into an arranged marriages by their parents. Nathasha Jaleel
'' Nathasha Jaleel (born 15 March 1984) is a Maldivian film actress. Career Before pursuing a career in acting, Jaleel was an active TikTok user, which won her recognition as a performer. During this time, she was featured in several advertisements and took part in few acting workshops. At the end of such one workshop, actor Mohamed Munthasir offered her one of the main roles in his sitcom web series, ''Thin Bibee'' (2019). Nuzuhath Shuaib (born 14 September 1988) is a Maldivian film actress. Early life Nuzuhath Shuaib was born on 14 September 1988 in N. Manadhoo. She was working at Jelly Pizza when her friend, a film actor Ali Azim introduced her to the team of ''Malikaa''. Impressed with the brief meeting, she was roped in to play the title character in the film. Career Nuzuhath Shuaib made her film debut with Ali Musthafa-directed family drama ''Malikaa'' playing the titular role, Malikaa, a sidelined daughter who has been underappreciated for her doings while she manages to execute the whole responsibilities of the family.
