Shaheen Asmayee ( Persian: ) or the Asmayee Falcons is a professional football club from Afghanistan. They play in the Afghanistan Champions League, representing Greater Kabul. In domestic football, the club has won a record 5 Afghan Premier League titles. They are the only team to have won consecutive titles, and have achieved it twice. History The club was founded in August 2012 by the creation of the Afghan Premier League and its players were chosen through a reality television show called Maidan-E-Sabz (Green Field). The club's name refers to the Asmayi Mountain in Kabul. Each Premier League team represents a particular region of Afghanistan. Shaheen Asmayee represents the capital city, Kabul. The name of the club comes from the Pashto language name of a hill near Kabul – ''Asmayee''. Ghazi Stadium
Ghazi Stadium (; ) is a multi-purpose stadium located in eastern Kabul, Afghanistan, which is mainly used for association football matches. It is sometimes called by other names such as the Afghan Football Federation Stadium. It was built during the reign of King Amanullah Khan in 1923, who is regarded as ''Ghazi'' (Hero) for the Afghan victory in the Third Anglo-Afghan War and gaining independence for his nation after the Anglo-Afghan Treaty of 1919. The stadium has capacity to house 25,000 people after the installation of seats. The Ghazi Stadium was renovated in 2011 after the entire ground was removed and replaced with new soil and artificial turf placed on top. The stadium now holds bigger sporting events. The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Under its current rules, the competition is played primarily between clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots in the top-tier AFC Champions League, based on the AFC Club Competitions Ranking.
