Shafiqul Islam (born 5 July 1997) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Rajshahi Division in the 2018–19 National Cricket League on 8 October 2018. He made his List A debut for the Bangladesh A cricket team against Afghanistan A on 24 July 2019. In August 2019, he was one of 35 cricketers named in a training camp ahead of Bangladesh's 2019–20 season. Bogra ( bn, বগুড়া), officially known as Bogura, is a major city located in Bogra District, Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh. The city is a major commercial hub in Northern Bangladesh. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. The Ireland Wolves (formally Ireland A) is a national cricket team representing Ireland. It is the second tier of international Irish cricket, below the full Ireland national cricket team. Matches played by Ireland Wolves are not considered to be One-Day Internationals, instead receiving first-class and List A classification. The 2020–21 Bangabandhu T20 Cup ( bn, বঙ্গবন্ধু টি-২০ কাপ) was a Twenty20 cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was played by five teams, during November and December 2020. In November 2020, more than 100 players began to undertake fitness tests, ahead of a players' draft for the tournament. The players' draft took place on 12 November 2020, with the tournament starting in the third week of November. Two days later, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the full schedule for the tournament. The BCB originally announced that the tournament would be used for the criteria to select players for the Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the West Indies, scheduled to be played in early 2021. However, in December 2020, the two cricket boards agreed the itinerary for the tour, with the T20I matches being dropped. Fortune Barishal ( bn, ফরচুন বরিশাল) is a franchise cricket team plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), representing the country's Barishal Division. Following the 2015 competition, the team were one of the BPL's six existing members and participated in the league's 2016 edition.
