Shadowzone (film)
''Shadowzone'' is a 1990 science fiction/ horror film directed by J. S. Cardone. Plot NASA Captain Hickock arrives at Jackass Flats Proving Ground, a subterranean research facility. Mostly abandoned in 1962, it now houses “Project Shadowzone”. Hickock has been sent to investigate the death of a Shadowzone test subject and Tommy Shivers, the last of the maintenance staff, escorts him through the facility where they meet Dr. Erhardt, the second in command under Dr. Van Fleet. She introduces Dr. Kidwell, Wiley (the sole computer engineer) and finally Dr. Jonathan Van Fleet. The experiment consists of inducing extended deep sleep (EDS) in the two remaining patients while they’re in sleep chambers. Charles Band
Charles Robert Band (born December 27, 1951) is an American film producer and director, known for his work on horror comedy movies. Career Band entered film production in the 1970s with Charles Band Productions. Dissatisfied with distributors' handling of his movies, he formed Empire Pictures in 1983. At its height, Empire would release an average of two films a month, one theatrically and one on home video. Movies released by Empire included ''Ghoulies'' and ''Ghoulies II'', and the cult classic ''Re-Animator''. Empire folded in 1988, due to financial difficulties. Band would found Full Moon Productions the same year. Full Moon releases include the ''Puppet Master'' and ''Subspecies'' series. Mark Shostrom (born May 13, 1956) is a special makeup effects artist for the film industry. Background Shostrom grew up in Hong Kong during the 1970s. He became interested in makeup after seeing ''The Bride of Frankenstein'' (1935). Shostrom was encouraged to pursue makeup as a 13-year-old boy after befriending Evelyn Karloff, widow of Boris Karloff, the actor who portrayed the original Frankenstein's monster.
