"Shadow Boxer" is a song by Australian hard rock group The Angels, released in June 1979 as the lead and only single from the group's third studio album, ''No Exit''. Note: Used for Australian Singles and Albums charting from 1974 until Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) created their own charts in mid-1988. In 1992, Kent back calculated chart positions for 1970–1974. "Shadow Boxer" first charted on the Kent Music Report Singles Chart on 11 June 1979, peaking at number 25 during a 14‑week chart run. The Angels (Australian Band)
The Angels are an Australian rock band which formed in Adelaide in 1974 as The Keystone Angels by Bernard "Doc" Neeson on lead vocals and bass guitar, John Brewster on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, his brother Rick Brewster on lead guitar and backing vocals, Peter "Charlie" King on drums. In 1976, King was replaced by Graham "Buzz" Bidstrup on drums, Chris Bailey took over bass duties so Neeson could focus solely on vocals, and they changed their name to just 'The Angels'. Their studio albums peaking within the Australian top 10 are ''No Exit'' (1979), ''Dark Room'' (1980), '' Night Attack'' (1981), ''Two Minute Warning'' (1984), ''Howling'' (1986) and ''Beyond Salvation'' (1990). St Ives is a suburb on the Upper North Shore of Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia 18 kilometres north of the Sydney Central Business District in the local government area of Ku-ring-gai Council. Graham Leslie "Buzz" Bidstrup (born 30 August 1952) is an Australian musician, songwriter, music producer and talent manager. He was a member of the Angels (1976–1981), the Party Boys (1983–1984) and Gang Gajang (1984–1987, 1993–1996, 1997–2010, 2013–present). He has managed Jimmy Little, Nathan Cavaleri and Diana Ah Naid. He was the CEO of the Jimmy Little Foundation from 2005 to 2015 and is the founder and Managing Director of associated Uncle Jimmy Thumbs Up Ltd. Christopher Mark Bailey (31 May 19504 April 2013) was an Australian bass guitarist and vocalist. He was a member of various rock groups including Headband (1971–1974), The Angels (1976–1982, 2008–2013), Gang Gajang (1984–2013), and The Stetsons (1987, 1997). Bailey died of throat cancer, aged 62. Biography Christopher Mark Bailey was born on 31 May 1950 in Keith, a rural town some 225 km south-east of Adelaide. His parents Alfred "Bill" Bailey and Gladys (née Spencer) were publicans. Bailey was sent to Prince Alfred College in Adelaide as a school boarder from the age of five.
